Millennium history

Millennium Luxury Coaches was started in 2001 in Sanford, Florida, by Nelson Figueroa. Older profiles describe Evelyn Figueroa as his business partner and as a co-owner. A profile on the Prevost-Stuff website says the company grew from a small, 2,000-square-foot RV service business into a larger operation that converts and builds custom coaches.

Figueroa was born in Puerto Rico and joined the U.S. Army at 17, where he served with the 160th Special Operations Aviation unit, according to the company's team page. He later designed electrical systems for large yachts. The same page says that in the early 1990s Mike Guth, the founder of Vantare, asked him to design the electrical systems for the first Vantare coach. Vantare was the Sanford coach builder whose assets the trailer maker Featherlite bought in 1996, and Featherlite Coaches traces its history back to it.

Florida Trend reported in March 2011 that Millennium had more than 40 employees and a 100,000-square-foot plant, and that it had been named one of Florida's 50 private companies to watch that year. A later, undated profile that looks back over 13 years of growth described a 125,000-square-foot facility that built about 12 coaches a year and also did remodels, paint and body repair, and round-the-clock service.

Wikipedia's article on the company lists other milestones from those years. In January 2012 Millennium was selected to be featured on the Travel Channel show Ultimate Travel. In July 2012 it won approval to be added to Transport Canada's list of vehicles that can be brought in from the United States. Wikipedia says the Destination America series EPIC, which featured the company, premiered on February 11, 2013, and that Millennium received an award from the Association for Corporate Growth in May 2013.

Millennium builds on Prevost shells, and Prevost's motorhome site lists it as one of its converter partners. The builder's inventory pages show H3-45 conversions from the 2004 through 2027 model years, X3-45 conversions from 2016 through 2025, and one 2008 XLII. Coaches carry stock numbers instead of model names. The listings read for this record ranged from no slide-outs to four.

In July 2025 the Orlando television station WKMG reported that Millennium had 110 employees and a 120,000-square-foot plant, and that it built 12 to 15 coaches a year priced from about $2 million to $2.7 million. The report described customers who waited more than 18 months for their custom coach.

On May 20, 2026, Millennium and The Motorcoach Store announced that Millennium was joining The Motorcoach Store family, which they called a unification of the two companies. The announcement mentions a $60 million capital commitment, described as new financing facilities and equity. It says Millennium would keep operating in Sanford, with Nelson Figueroa as its president and a member of The Motorcoach Store's board of directors, and Lara Figueroa as vice president. It also says Millennium would use The Motorcoach Store's financing and national reach, and that The Motorcoach Store gains a conversion division. It does not say who owns the combined business or give any ownership terms. The Motorcoach Store, whose founder and chief executive is Bradley Twait, sells pre-owned luxury coaches and says it is the exclusive U.S. sales and service partner for LOKI Coach. Millennium's website also marks 2026 as its 25th anniversary.
