The people behind the interior

Meet the bus converters

Prevost builds the bus. These companies turn the empty shell into a finished home. See how that works →

Learn the basics first

Chassis and engines in plain words

Under every luxury coach is a chassis, an engine and a transmission, often made by companies other than the coach builder. This guide explains who makes them and what diesel pusher, tag axle, horsepower and torque mean for a buyer.

Class A or Super C: what is the difference?

A Class A is built on a chassis made for motorhomes or buses, while a Super C is built on a truck chassis that keeps its cab. This guide explains what that means for size, power, towing and price, and where bus conversions fit.

How a Prevost bus becomes a motorhome

Prevost builds passenger buses in Quebec. It also sells bus shells with nearly empty cabins that other companies finish as luxury motorhomes. Here is how that two-step process works, how the two current shells differ, and what a buyer should ask for.

Who owns whom: the companies behind the coach brands

Most luxury motorhome brands belong to a larger parent company, and a few are still independent. This family tree shows who owns whom, with the year of each deal where a source gives one, as of October 2026.
