Parliament history

Parliament Coach Corporation turned Prevost bus shells into custom motorhomes in Clearwater, Florida. A profile on the owner website Prevost-Stuff gives the address as 4455 Ulmerton Road, near the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. It describes a 70,000-square-foot plant on the same 12 acres it had occupied for years. The plant had a body shop with two paint booths, carpentry, metal, fiberglass and upholstery shops, more than a dozen service bays, an RV store and a sales department.

How and when the company began could not be confirmed from sources that could be opened for this entry, so the founding year and the founders are left blank.

Every Parliament coach that could be documented is a Prevost XLII with two slide-outs. Used-coach listings on Prevost-Stuff show Parliament conversions from model year 2002 through model year 2010. The 2010 coach has a Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine, an Allison automatic transmission, a 20-kilowatt generator and two 4,000-watt inverters, according to its listing.

The newest Parliament coach found is a 2010 model. The Prevost-Stuff profile, a file dated May 2015, said more than five years had passed since the last Parliament coach left the production line, so new-coach building appears to have stopped around 2010. By then the company's main work was servicing, repairing, repainting and remodeling Prevost conversions and selling used coaches. It also worked on Blue Bird Wanderlodge motorhomes and said it owned the intellectual property rights to the former Wanderlodge business.

The business seems to have changed hands around 2012. In an undated letter posted on Prevost-Stuff, Cliff Koschnick introduced himself as the new owner of Parliament Motor Coach, with partners Ken Johnson, Sharon Howard and Cyndy Johnson. He wrote that the company planned to build a Prevost motorcoach again in 2013. On October 19, 2012, Parliament Motor Coach announced an agreement to buy Coachworx LLC, and Rick May and other Coachworx staff joined the company.

The 2015 profile says Parliament Coach Corporation and Coach Worx had new ownership and the shared name Parliament Motor Coach. Ken Robertson and Rick May led a staff of more than 40 people, and the company hoped to show a new conversion within a year. No source was found showing that a new coach was finished.

Florida company records, as copied by OpenCorporates, list Parliament Coach Corporation, Parliament Motor Coach Corporation and Parliament Motor Coach Sales Corp as inactive. The record for Parliament Motor Coach Corporation gives the Ulmerton Road address. When checked in October 2026, the web address printed in the profile led to an unrelated site. The date the business closed is not known.
