Blue Bird Wanderlodge BMC
The BMC, short for Blue Bird Motor Coach, was a 102-inch-wide coach that Wikipedia says was built in the Wanderlodge factory from 1994 to 1997 on a Spartan Motors chassis, unlike earlier Blue Bird motorhomes. The Vintage Birds owners’ club lists a 37-foot coach from 1994 and a 40-foot tag-axle version with a 400-horsepower Cummins M11 from 1996.

The story of the model
BMC history
Vintage Birds lists the 37-foot BMC from 1994 and says it was redesigned for 1995. Wikipedia adds that the BMC was built in the same Fort Valley factory as the Wanderlodge, had a 102-inch body, and, unlike every earlier Blue Bird motorhome, used a chassis from Spartan Motors of Michigan. For 1996 a 40-foot BMC was added with a 400-horsepower Cummins M11, a six-speed Allison and a tag axle. Both lengths were listed for 1997, which Wikipedia gives as the last year.
Wikipedia also describes a business version, the QMC, based on the BMC and used as a mobile command center or hospitality suite. Wikipedia says the later M380 in effect replaced the BMC.
