What changed this year
Floor plan redesigned and 300-hp Caterpillar engine added (Vintage Birds). Wikipedia adds rectangular headlamps and a redesigned grille, and says 1987 was the last year the roof caps were shared with the All American school bus.
Notes
Fuel capacity differs and is left empty: 230 gallons on the 35-foot, 235 gallons on the 31- and 33-foot. Gray and black tanks are listed at 62 gallons each for the 35-foot only. Also listed: GVWR 34,000 lb, diesel generator, Ridewell air suspension, full air brakes, a 45-gallon LP tank, a new 35-foot Side Bath floor plan, six interior decors and four bedroom layouts. An owner-preserved 1987 Wanderlodge owner’s manual (217 pages) is on ManualsLib, but its pages could not be read, so it is not known which models it covers. The specifications are an owner-club summary from the Vintage Birds page for this year, not a factory scan. Lengths are the nominal model lengths used by Vintage Birds, not measured figures.
